Sorry about neglecting this blog...

Life has been coming hard at us the last few months, long story short: My estranged (we broke contact due to her manipulative ways and unrepentant alcoholism) mother turned out to have cancer, after which we quickly got news that it would be untreatable and terminal. So we spent the months trying to rekindle some sort of contact, so we could at least say our goodbyes. After that there was the funeral, deciding whether to accept or reject the inheritance, cleaning out her house and a lot of emotional unpacking and processing along the way, which is still ongoing.

I have still been hobbying though, as that has been my mental lifeline. Prepare for incoming photodump, after the break!

EDIT: This part of the original post has been removed. For more background, please see here...

Also, a new tool/toy arrived, which necessitated some remodeling of the garage:

And soon it was up and running:

I decided to replace the armour plates on the Reaver Titan, with much, much smoother resin ones:

Looking back at the photos, I had a short-lived burst of activity for my Battlefleet Gothic:

Yes, the Ramilies Starfort I printed shortly after I got my FDM machine has finally been painted!

A small diversion...

And some bottles for my sister, who does dollhouses:

A friend got interested in the Rogue Trader Battle at the Farm scenario, wanting to replay it sometime.
Having a 3d printer, and airbrush and, at that moment, a lot of manic energy and a desperate need for a distraction, quickly whipped up the Crimson Fists:

During the summer, Orks happened...

The second half of my Meganobz Mob, finally painted:

My Warbosses got a long-awaited refresh:

The 3D printers combine forces:

I tried a new technique for painting the yellow on my Orks, the pre-basecoat stage of which had got me giggling quite a bit:

But that quickly passed, and I was impressed by the results:

A friend asked me to print some parts for their cosplay, which got me back into Fallout 4 and on a Fallout mini kick:
I got enthusiastic and added "a few extras", he only actually asked for the two grey resin costume parts.

Before and after weathering:

And the minis, for once my local group gets around to Post-Apoc skirmish games:

That's everything caught up again.

See you next time!

  1. Sorry to hear about your mother, I can not imagine how stressful and painful that whole process must be.

Load of great looking miniature stuff going on there! The BFG stuff looks great, and the Mark V/VI marines turned out really well.

  2. Lots of hobbying done I see. And sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. My Uncle passed at the begging of the month so I have, been a sounding board for my mom as she deals with it.
